On Oshie...
It may not feel like it but it's only just over 100 days until July 1...and less than 100 days until he Vegas Golden Knights get to draft their team. And in between those two dates we will see some insane trades and the NHL draft will take place in Chicago...
The UFA market is always determined by the amount of money available and with the salary cap staying put, the most most available will be in Vegas as they try and put together a team from scratch....
Many debating and some are flat-out calling TJ Oshie the top available UFA (my rankings to come later) but regardless of your opinion there is little doubt that Vegas will need to bring in some "star power" and "Fan friendly" players and Oshie is on top as far as that category...
One source predicts to me "It's all up to TJ. They will overpay him to be sure to be the face of the franchise...the guy to put on billboards and sell jerseys...Oshie is one of the few recognizable players out there on the UFA market..."
Obviously it's more than about the money to TJ, but if he wins a Cup in Washington this year you would think the chances of going to Vegas only increase...
