Last night 4-2 +3.56 Units YTD 108-91-2 +21.34 Units
After the STL/LA game was postponed last night, which we had in our plays due to scenario #1, we still had the Canucks hit for us which brings it to a sizzling 8-0 on this tremendous angle!!! I am going to go back and check how the total went in these games as I believe for the most part they go under the total.
Light card for a Tuesday night with 7 games. NYI/Caps and Bruins/Pens highlight the night as there are a lot of mismatches in the other games. Lets see how the Isles far against some real competition after 6 games against the Sabres and Devils. Isles will be sitting in Washington while the Caps are in Buffalo. Bruins and Pens are going at it in back to back nights. Boston media are calling out the leadership group of this team, so lets see how they respond tonight.
**I have started to research teams that come off at least a 5 game road trip and how they fare in their first game back home.** Buffalo and St. Louis lost on back to back nights, returning from long road trips. Its 4-3 to date. Winnipeg, Vegas are off road trips tonight!
I am starting a new angle that you will see in Scenario #1. It’s a very small size, but it’s 8-0 this week. I will track it and see how its plays out here for all those that read the column. We have two more teams in this situation for us tonight, with the NYI and Dallas.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are rested, either sitting at home or on the road while their opponent plays the night before. 8-0 in the first week of tracking it!
Scenario #2 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 49-32. Detroit fits the system tonight.
Scenario #3 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 19-19-1 when teams play on the road back to back nights. Bruins/Pens fit the system tonight.
Scenario #4 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 71-58 in that situation. Boston and AZ fit the system tonight.
Quick stat updates - First period totals going over were 4-5 last night and are 199-233 on the season. Road teams were 5-4 last night and are 204-221 on the season. Game totals going over the total were 3-4-2 last night and are 211-202-11 on the season.
Gamenotes for tonight –
Sabres/Devils – Someone will finally win a game! Sabres and Devils just can’t stop losing so at least for one night, it will stop for someone. Sabres have won 3 of 5 this season head to head.
NYI/Caps – NYI fits scenario #1 and its been very profitable to date! Caps have won both meetings this season.
Bruins/Pens – Pens are so good at home! Each team has won their home games, with all 3 going under the total!
Canes/Wings – Canes have won 8 in a row but 4 of those games by a goal including last time out against Detroit. Canes have won 3 of 4 head to head
Yotes/Wild – I can’t figure out AZ, bottom line is they are very average. Wild are red hot but have 2 games against the Avs on deck! Wild have won 3 of 4 head to head.
TB/Dallas – Stars sitting at home rested while TB played last night. Dallas fits scenario #1 for us tonight! Add in 5 in 7 nights for TB, plus off a 6 game roadie too. Tired legs! Stars only +120 tells you Vegas is onto this as well!
Ducks/Avs – Ducks have actually split the 4 games head to head with three of those games going to OT!
System plays all for 1 Unit each –
NYI – ML(even) Dallas – ML(+120) AZ – ML(+177) Detroit – ML(+195) Bruins – ML(even) Bruins/Pens u5.5(-102)
Feel free to ask any questions in the blog and I always get back to everyone. I will have Twitter and Instagram going shortly. Good luck tonight!
