Training camp rosters + the Penguins catching strays at AEW PPV (Penguins)

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their training camp roster which will kick off on September 22nd.

We have all the NHL guys everyone is already familiar with who have been on the team for a number of years. We also have newcomers like Jeff Petry, Ty Smith, Jan Rutta, and Owen Pickering coming onto the scene. As for the forwards we have players like Ryan Poehling, Alex Nylander, Josh Archibald, and Drake Caggiula competing for roster spots in the bottom six. Sam Poulin and Nate Legare have to prove they are worthy of being in this discussion. They have yet to do so. We’ll see if there was growth over the offseason.

Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith are both back. I’m interested to see Filip Lindberg in camp and how he does. He’s a guy to keep an eye on. I wouldn’t be shocked if he saw NHL action at some point this year, if he stays healthy.

While hockey news has been sparse lately it hasn’t stopped the Penguins from catching strays from CM Punk. During his explosive post PPV scrum on Sunday night after AEW’s All Out he took issue with a reporter wearing a Penguins shirt. Language alert!
