Last night 2-0 +3.00 Units YTD 288-210-7 +163.30 Units(Season High)
We got lucky last night with the Oilers winning in OT after blowing the game with two seconds to go in regulation. Then we hit the Canucks over for a perfect night! We have a massive 13 game card tonight. Analysis below.
CHI/BOS - The Bruins lost their first game back to LA in OT 3-2 at home after their 6 game roadie. CHI has been so inconsistent this year, no way I can back this team, especially on the road where they struggle even more. CHI has gone over the total in 4 straight games and in 7 of their last 10 games, plus the over is 5-1-1 in the Hawk's last 7 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 days situation. Strong lean to the over 5.5 but steep a price for BOS -267.
VEG/BUFF - Jack Eichel returns to Buffalo for this time after his trade to Vegas. It will be interesting to see how he's received in Buffalo and to see if the Knights can finally get things back on track against a very weak team in the Sabres. Vegas beat Buffalo last month 5-2 at home but are a different team now, playing inconsistent hockey. Vegas plays a much more defensive game on the road in the East for some reason and are 6-1-1 in the last 8 road games too. Lean to the under 6 as Vegas -220 is ridiculous, they shouldn't be that heavy a fav over anyone on the road.
AZ/TOR - The Yotes have won 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5 games while putting up 8 & 9 goals in their last 2 games. AZ beat Toronto earlier in the season at home 2-1 and are 6-4 in their last 10 games while the Leafs are 5-5 in their last 10 games and have an afternoon outdoor game on deck this Saturday! Be careful of the look ahead in this spot. Lean to AZ +330 as TOR -417 is insane!
SEA/OTT - The Sens return from a 5 game roadie and I always worry how an Eastern Conference team responds coming from a few games in the Western Conference. Seattle is playing with nothing to lose these days playing CAR/TOR/BOS/CAL very tough over their last 10 games. Ottawa plays a lot more defensive hockey at home and tends to go under the total on home ice. This will be the first ever meeting between these 2 teams. Lean to the under 6 here, small lean to OTT -135 in a very winnable game.
MIN/DET - The Wild is a off a very emotional win at home over NYR, while the Red Wings were embarrassed at home 9-2 by AZ. Teams that get thumped like that at home tend to have a bounce back game as they play with pride next game out in front of their fans. Lean to Detroit +160 as a nice dog in this spot, with Minny an average team on the road posting a 2-6 record in their last 8 road games. Detroit goes on a 4 game west coast road trip after this game.
PHI/FL - The Flyers have two in a row for the first time since late January. FL won the first 2 meetings against PHI with both going under the total. This could be a bad spot for the Panthers as they are off a huge emotional win over Pitt and after this game, they head out on a 7 game/14 day road trip! No way I can back FL -384 in this spot, but PHI +314 is worth a shot for a small play!
WIN/NJ - The Jets are one of the most inconsistent teams all year and are off a huge win at home over TB. The Devils are off a huge home win over COL, so both teams could be in letdown mode, mind you WIN needs to stay in the playoff hunt and this is a must win for them! The Jets have 3 games in 4 nights on the road, next at NYI and then STL, way tougher games than this one. The Devils have beat COL/STL/VAN in the last 10 days at home. WIN beat NJ at home earlier in the season 8-4. Lean to NJ -105 as Vegas is begging for WIN money here.
COL/CAR - The Avs have lost 3 of their last 4 games and are an average team on the road as they take on one of the best at home in CAR. This will be the Avs 3rd game in 4 nights on the road but have a huge rematch with Calgary on deck this Sunday night. Carolina has Philly on deck then at Pitt the next day, that Philly game will be a sandwich game for sure. Lean to CAR -110 in a great spot.
CLB/NYI - Both teams are 2-5 in their last 7 games, while CLB beat NYI at home earlier this season 3-2OT. It's hard to back either here, as both are inconsistent as much as their playoff lives are slim to none. Game is a pass for me.
NYR/STL - The Blues blew their game in NY last week 5-3 and have lost 4 in a row. The NY Rangers are playing their 3rd game in 5 nights and are an average road team. STL needs this game badly to stay ahead of the 3 team hunting them down in their division. Huge lean to STL -121.
ANA/NSH - The Ducks are without 5 key players for this one and got blasted in CHI 8-3. ANA is terrible on the road too. But NSH -200 is too rich for my blood, even though the Ducks are slowly falling out of playoff contention. This 5 game roadie for ANA would determine if they sellers at the trade deadline. No play for me on this one.
TB/CAL - TB beat CAL back in January 4-1 on home ice and are playing their 3rd game in 5 nights on the road, with 3 more games to go after this one! CAL has DET on deck, a total sandwich game the Wings game then at COL. I see the Flames putting a lot into this game, as they have been making statement games for the past two months. How on earth are the Flames even money, easily the hottest team in hockey over the last two months?! Huge lean to CAL at even money, 17-5 record the last two months!
SJ/LA - The Kings are 8-2 in their last 10 games while the Sharks are 2-8 in their last 10 games, two games going in different directions! In fact, SJ is 3-13 in their last 16 games, telling you how bad they've been for a while and both their goalies are injured! LA is 12-5 in their last 17 games which has put them in a playoff spot. Lean to LA PL +110.
