Preview: Stars @ Sabres
Continuing what has been a very busy October docket since opening night, Pete DeBoer's Dallas Stars (5-1-0) are in New York State on Tuesday to take on former Stars' coach Lindy Ruff's Buffalo Sabres (2-4-1) Game time at KeyBank Center is 6:00 p.m. CDT.
After sustaining their first loss of the regular season on the road against the Washington Capitals, the Stars bounced back with a 4-1 home win on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
A 30-save performance by Jake Oettinger and two goals (power play and even strength) from Matt Duchene paced the Stars. Additionally, first-line center Roope Hintz notched had a goal and two assists, while linemate Jason Robertson posted a goal (ENG) and an assist.
The Stars had an off-day on Sunday and then held practice on Monday to prepare for this game against the Sabres. Line combinations at practice were as follows.
