The San Jose Sharks picked up a 3-2 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues last night.

Overall, it was a decent performance for San Jose. They limited shots for the Blues, though they did give up some pretty good chances. Despite facing just 20 shots, Devan Dubnyk played well. He turned away some pretty dangerous opportunities and while he bobbled the puck a couple of times on what could have been routine saves, he did make the stops he needed to.

Rudolfs Balcers is continuing to impress and seems to be more involved in just about every area. He’s skating with the puck more (and has pretty impressive agility as well) and can make some effective passes. It’s tough to say what his ceiling could be but it’s certainly possible he could become a long-term middle-six forward.

Brent Burns is also playing quite well for the Sharks. He’s been much better in his own end compared to the beginning of the year and has been one of the team's better defensemen lately.

It was a key win for the Sharks, though they’ll need to string quite a few more together if they want to have any kind of a shot at the playoffs. Regardless, they got the win.
