To start things off on this sunny Monday morning, congrats to Daniel and Henrik Sedin, who both completed their first marathon on Sunday in Vancouver!
Congratulations Henrik & Daniel Sedin on your first Marathon! Rumour has it this won't be their last 👀 #bmovm #runvan pic.twitter.com/3Lq4xB9ssV

Daniel finished in 3:11:45, good for 192nd overall in a field of more than 5,000, and 39th in his age bracket. Like many first-timers, he started hot and slowed down as he went—he hit the halfway mat in 1:28:52, which would have brought him in under three hours if he'd been able to sustain his pace.
Still, Daniel's form looks good here as he heads for the finish line.

For once, the twins weren't "the same." Henrik finished in 3:24:11 — still very good at 359th overall and 68th in his age bracket. He was with Daniel at the halfway mat, also crossing in 1:28:52, but they started to separate not long after that. Henrik had a particularly tough time after the 30k mark, which involves a trip around the Stanley Park Seawall before crossing the finish line in Coal Harbour.
The twins' older brother, Peter Sedin, also came over from Sweden to participate. The 43-year-old finished in a very respectable 3:54:24.
It's nice to see the twins continuing to challenge themselves in their retirement. I wonder how they're feeling today? I did a short 5k segment in the marathon relay and am feeling pretty beat up but that's OK—it's a sign that I pushed myself, even over that short distance. I'm imagining some foam rolling in my future later today....
Next, let's loop around to the Ottawa 67's and Canucks goaltending prospect Mikey DiPietro, who was injured and pulled from Game 2 of the OHL Final on Saturday, not long before I posted the last blog.
First, here's the injury, in case you missed it. Ouch!

Now, here's the latest update on his status:
Mikey DiPietro’s ankle isn’t fractured. Coach Andre Tourigny says he likely has a high ankle sprain. Likely won’t play Game 3 or Game 4 in Guelph. Is off crutches but still has boot cast.

Andre Tourigny says DiPietro has a "first degree" high ankle sprain and is day-to-day. Doesn't expect him in Game 3 or 4 and there is no timetable.

Ottawa did pull out the 4-3 victory on Saturday to take a 2-0 lead in their series against the Guelph Storm and maintain their perfect record so far in these playoffs—now 14 straight wins. Despite some up-and-down patches during the regular season, DiPietro had played every game for Ottawa in the playoffs before he was injured, and was coming off a 37-save performance in the 67's 7-2 win over the Storm in Game 1 of the Final.
Though he hadn't seen game action since March 17, Cedrick Andree did a great job in relief after DiPietro was hurt. He stopped 26 of 27 shots he faced over 45:10 to earn the win, and now he'll be charged with trying to maintain Ottawa's perfect playoff record and get them over the finish line.
If the 67's do win, they'll earn a berth in the 2019 Memorial Cup, which kicks off on May 17 in Halifax.
Continuing the theme of goalie injuries, Jacob Markstrom was forced to leave Team Sweden's World Championship tune-up game against Finland near the end of the second period on Sunday.

Not the first time Juhani Tyrvà¤inen runs over a goalie. SHL goalies need to keep an eye on him next season. pic.twitter.com/d9WUSUNHJS
Thankfully, the word here is that the move was precautionary, and Markstrom should be fine to play when the World Championship begins this Friday.

On a more positive note—from that same game, here's a clip of Petey getting tough along the boards.

Pettersson picked up an assist on the power play on what turned out to be the game-winner as Sweden knocked off the Finns by a score of 2-1.
Also part of the Euro Hockey Tour tuneup games, Evgeny Kuznetsov had two goals and two assists and Alex Ovechkin had three assists, while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 23 saves as Russia knocked off the Czechs by a score of 4-1.
Elsewhere, here are the line combinations for Team Canada as they practice in Vienna. We've got an all-B.C. third pairing on defense, with Troy Stecher skating alongside Shea Theodore of Langley.

Team USA is doing its tuneup in Germany, which will include a pre-tournament game against the Germans. You can check out Quinn Hughes and possibly Thatcher Demko on the livestream here at 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday morning.
If you missed it, Jack Hughes has now been added to the U.S. roster, so the brothers will get one more chance to play together before Jack heads to the draft in June.
Of course, Brock Boeser is not a part of the U.S. roster as a restricted free agent without a contract. He's back in his home stomping grounds, once again renewing acquaintances with his one-time prom date from his time at the University of North Dakota.
It’s pretty cool having a BFF that plays in the NHL for the Vancouver Canucks and he calls you for lunch when he’s in town!Brock Boeser you are amazing!@BBoeser16 @baylee_bjorge @Canucks @UNDmhockey pic.twitter.com/0oXYklYj0o
