Radulov, JVR, Alzner, RUMOR CHART Launches w/80 Players (NHL Predictions.)

I have updated 80 players on the The Summer Rumor Chart

On Radulov…

Heard a very interesting rumor today that Radulov may wait and see what is available from Vegas in the UFA market before committing to the Canadiens… I really hope Rads stays with Montreal, it is the perfect fit and the fans obviously love his skills and what he brings to the team…but Preds fans probably won’t be too surprised by this rumor surfacing…

On Justin Williams…

I am hearing the Blues (e3) and the Leafs (e3) are the most interested in Williams services, but the Caps aren’t ruling out bringing him back…but only if they can’t retain Oshie…

On Alzner…

Undoubtedly the biggest catch on D in the UFA market, I keep hearing the Knights and former Alzner boss McPhee are priming to back up the truck (e4), but they will have the Leafs to compete with…for sure…

On Anthony Duclair…

There is still hope that things could work out in Arizona, but I continue to hear the Senators will make a big play…as will Montreal (e4) and Philly (e2).

On JVR…

The Leafs are still being a bit wishy washy on JVR…I hear a lot depends on what else becomes available…NJ, Colorado, Philly, and the NYI have all had discussions going back to last season…

The Summer Rumor Chart Chart Launches……with 80 players already

It is with great excitement that we officially kick off the summer rumor season today by launching the Hockeybuzz Rumor Chart with a record 80 players at launch (and more to come.)

There are several things to note about the Rumor Chart this year…

The Summer Rumor Chart has become one of the most fun things I do around here, and this year I need to somehow install more RAM in my skull because not only am I tracking the REAL trade deadline (formerly know as the NHL Draft) and UFA Day on July 1….but this year you can add the Expansion Draft into the mix...which is changing everything and which brings with it MANY more trade rumors as teams jockey for position.

We will be working overtime, that much is certain!

Many of you have asked me to explain the Rumor Chart...

We have had so many new readers join us as of late, so I thought I should explain how this all works…

#1. My Rumors…

First off, and most importantly, not to worry, I will keep posting my blogs throughout the day in increasing numbers. The chart is just something I can update on the fly. My rule on my hockeybuzz blog, and my job as I see it, is to pass along anything I hear (on the record) without judging whether or not I like the deal or not. I have learned long ago NOT to try and analyze with logic because unless you are the team GM you really don’t know EVERY aspect of what is happening behind the scenes…Logic requires complete understanding. If it is from a good source, I just pass it along……

I look to you all to make judgements (and you never disappoint!).

#2. The Rumor Chart is Different..

The Rumor Chart is my opinion as to where it sounds like a player could be headed. I base this opinion on ALL the conversations I have. Some are “on… but many more are “off the record." By looking at the rumor chart you can definitely pick up on some interesting clues and tendencies.

When you see a percentage sliding one way or the other there is a reason for that. Sometimes I can write about that reason in a blog, but often I can’t. So the Chart fills out the picture..and sometimes it easier to make a quick adjustment on the fly between blogs by updating a player..

#3. The Rumor Chart is part of our $20 per year Season Ticket package…

No, we don’t charge for rumors…

And unlike new sites popping up, we still post free content all day, every day. All the rumors I post in my blog are 100% free.

The Summer Rumor Chart is part of our season ticket package, which is only $20 a year, and has other perks as well. Season ticket holders get an Ad-free experience on the entire site AND they get to enter the Season Ticket Hockey Pools and win MUCH bigger prizes… There are some new features coming a well that I think will make the twenty bucks more than worth it. If you read the site everyday twenty bucks works out to about a nickel a day. I think I can speak for all the content writers here when i say...we want to earn your nickel!

I know any amount of money is tough in this economy, and I really wish we could afford to NOT charge for anything, but we have a slew of great reporters on this site and advertising rates are fickle at best these days…For Twenty Bucks or $3.99 a month you can show you appreciate what we do here and support one of the few surviving indy hockey websites that has been providing continues news for over a decade…

Your $20 is HUGE to us, but if you can’t help right now, no worries at all…like I said we aren’t charging for anything that has been free in the past. This is just a way to help keep the lights on and a way you can say you appreciate what we do around here.

So either way, on behalf of everyone at Hockeybuzz, I can’t thank you enough…

Now...onto the RooooooMORS!
