NHL.com confirmed that Brady Keeper will make his NHL debut on Florida's blueline tonight against the Ottawa Senators.
"The 22-year-old signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Panthers on March 19, after finishing his second season with the University of Maine. Keeper had 44 points (13 goals, 31 assists) in 73 games in the NCAA. He is the first person from the Pimicikamak Cree Nation to make it to the NHL."
NHL also has him projected to be paired with McCoschen, while Pysyk and Brown get press-boxed.
I like that Keeper's getting in tonight - certainly helps give a game (where both squads are eliminated from the playoffs) a little more excitement.
It also gives us a little preview into what could be in store for the Panthers' backend in the future.
The scouting reports point to him having offensive upside (ehh, whatever) and a nice physical game (yes, please). So it will be interesting to see what style of game he brings tonight.
Looking forward to it...
Go Panthers!
