Pre-game Report (Game 21): CAR @ CHI (Hurricanes)

The Carolina Hurricanes are in Chicago tonight to face the Blackhawks. Here’s the pre-game report.

According to Scott King, the projected lineups are:

CAROLINA

Andrei Svechnikov - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen Ryan Dzingel - Jordan Staal - Warren Foegele Nino Niederreiter - Lucas Wallmark - Martin Necas Brock McGinn - Eetu Luostarinen - Jordan Martinook Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton Joel Edmundson - Brett Pesce Jake Gardiner - Trevor van Riemsdyk Petr Mrazek James Reimer

CHICAGO

Alex Nylander - Jonathan Toews - Brandon Saad Alex DeBrincat - Dylan Strome - Patrick Kane Ryan Carpenter - David Kampf - Dominik Kubalik Zack Smith - Kirby Dach - Andrew Shaw Duncan Keith - Connor Murphy Calvin de Haan - Brent Seabrook Olli Maatta - Erik Gustafsson Robin Lehner Corey Crawford

I like Carolina’s idea to continue to try and spread scoring throughout their top three lines. It’ll work better once Erik Haula returns to the lineup but having Nino Niederreiter there makes sense in my opinion.

Can any Blackhawks fans reading this comment on why Kirby Dach is on the fourth line? Maybe there’s a legitimate reason that I’m just missing but this seems like an odd move, no? Anyways, Robin Lehner, who’s been lights out once again this year, is Chicago’s expected starter.

Puck drop is at 8:30 p.m.
