David Poile The Most Wins EVER...
Last night's win for the Preds was not only huge for Nashville, but extremely historic. It was the 1,507th (regular season and playoffs) for Preds GM David Poile. That is more than any other GM in NHL HISTORY, topping Glen Sather.
I don't usually like to take shots at NHL.com, but it is amazing to me how under the radar this has flown. This accomplishment is one of the hardest records in NHL History to achieve. So where is this in the news?
Poile is an unbelievable GM and may be the best at drafting Defensemen we have ever seen. Huge props to Poile and the Predators ownership who has never seen another GM for this franchise...Last year at the deadline the Rangers moved Kevin Hayes for a Brendan Lemieux, a First Round Pick, and a conditional 4th.
On Kreider...
A source this morning told me the following: "On Chris Kreider, they are already past the price for Kevin Hayes. Kreider is far more valuable because of the kind of player he has been in the playoffs in the past."
Tomas Hertl out for the season...
This is a big blow to the Sharks already fading chances. Hertl was playing at the top of his game and is the second leading scorer on San Jose... The Sharks have to be at 90% for being official sellers...
