Murray Corners A Wolverine (sabres)

Tim Murray and the Buffalo Sabres have found another forward to add organizational depth.

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with forward Alex Kile on an AHL contract for the 2017-18 season. Kile will join the Amerks for the remainder of this season on an Amateur Tryout (ATO).

Kile will now get a chance to earn a contract for next season with a strong showing during his audition for Murray and the Amerks.

Kile, 22, just completed his four-year NCAA career at the University of Michigan, where he was team captain this past season. Kile scored 14 points (7G, 7A) and 21 PIMs in 28 games this season.

During the 2015-16 season, the 6'0", 193-lb. 200 foot left winger helped Michigan capture its first Big-10 Tournament Championship in school history. As a junior, he had a breakout season, establishing career-highs in every offensive category, including goals (16), assists (18), and points (34) while finishing fourth among all Michigan skaters in overall scoring.

The Troy, Michigan native is a by product of the legendary Honeybaked Ham and USHL Green Bay Gamblers programs.

Kile finished his four-year career at the University of Michigan with 80 points (40G, 40A) and 78 PIMs in 130 games with the Wolverines.

NHL scouts like Kile for his size, speed, passing and skating abilities.
