The hockey world is truly bizarre, you often hear about fights breaking out between fans at and away from hockey games. Reasons are always different, but most of all its disagreements over largely irrelevant things.
This time around, a guy has been stabbed to death at a park in Philly, because he made a comment about the other guys New Jersey Devils hat.
Philly.com reports Wednesday that 42-year-old Steven Simminger has been convicted of first-degree murder for the 2016 killing of 24-year-old Colin McGovern in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square.
Although an attorney that represents Simminger claimed that crime was committed due to ''fear of his own life'' a witness has stated that the beef occurred due to the victim saying something along the lines of ''Screw the Devils'' which then apparently pissed off the murderer who went to stab his victim 10 times.
Prosecutors claim that it wasn't all about the hat, describing the suspect as a ''ticking time-bomb'' who had alcohol and drug problems.
We will likely never figure out what went on in the guys head while doing what he did, but it's pretty clear that nobody should do that.
