Hearing the Oilers have made a serious bid for Chris Kreider. The Oilers are off to a great start, but mostly on the back of a torrid power play. They feel Kreider would add some needed offense 5 v 5... plus experience...
On Jamie Benn...
Lou Lamoriello is all about this one. And once again he is facing off against the Habs...In the off-season it was Patrik Laine and now it looks like both teams are looking to Jamie Benn.......I get the sense the Isles are the way more likely fit... As a side-note, I recently learned the Flyers and Stars discussed a Benn/Voracek deal in the summer....
On the Leafs goaltending... Hutchinson played a very strong game against the Bruins. but I am hearing the Leafs are talking to the Kings about Jonathan Quick, who they feel could be revitalized by a fresh start and who has huge playoff credentials... I know what you are all thinking...How, with his salary could such a del happen?
1. If there would be a serious injury to Andersen and he went in LTR the Leafs would have to make a move and Quick would become a very possible solution.
2. If the Kings were to retain 50% salary Quick becomes possible. still not easy, but possible...and this deal could happen a month or two from now...
Tournament of All-Time Greats. Game #2
A ton of fun last night as we simulated the All-time Leafs against the All-Time Jets. We dedicated this game to the All-Time Jets captain and All-time Center Dale Hawerchuk who announced yesterday that he has stomache cancer and is preparing to beat it!
