Eichel’s offensive production through 34 games puts him in the Hart Trophy conversation.
Name me an NHL player who is more valuable to his team this season than Jack Eichel is to the Buffalo Sabres.
hEichel is now on pace to finish the season with 55 goals and 114 points, hich would be the highest goal and point totals by a Sabre since Pat LaFontaine (53G,95A) and Alexander Mogilny (76G,51A) in 1992-93.
LaFontaine (83 in 1992-93) is the only Sabre ever to have recorded more even-strength points in a season than the 82 Eichel is currently on pace for.
Speaking of LaFontaine, Eichel would score the game tying goal against the NY Islanders on Saturday afternoon , on the power play with 1:46 remaining in regulation.

On Thursday night, Eichel joined Buffalo-born Patrick Kane as the second player in 2019-20 to raccumulate a 15-game point streak.
The 2015-16 season is the only other to feature multiple U.S.-born players with point streaks of 15+ games: Patrick Kane (26 GP) and Shayne Gostisbehere (15 GP).
