The New York Islanders have traded forward Andrew Ladd to the Arizona Coyotes, along with a second-round pick in this year’s draft, a 2022 second-round pick and a conditional 2023 third-round pick.

The 2022 second-round pick was listed as 'conditional' by the Coyotes and several reporters, but was not listed as conditional in the Islanders’ release above. It’s unclear as to what the conditions are on the third-round pick, which makes it difficult to judge how likely it is that the pick will actually be transferred. Despite that, it’s impressive that the Islanders managed to get the contract off the books, without shedding a first-round pick or a key prospect.

UPDATES: According to The Athletic's Arthur Staple, the 2022 second-round pick going to the Coyotes will be the better of New York's two second-round picks, being either their own pick or the pick they acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in the Devon Toews trade. According to CapFriendly.com, the third-round pick will be transferred if Ladd plays one game in the 2022-23 season. Newsday's Andrew Gross has confirmed that there is no return in the trade.
