The New York Islanders will look to rebound tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers, after a third loss in a row on Thursday night.

So it wasn’t based on mistakes, and instead, a good portion of the problem was about effort. The Islanders weren’t first to the puck and lacked urgency and intensity. The forward group has also been slow and has really struggled to create their own chances. When the Islanders are set up in the offensive zone they can grind out some chances but are still having a really hard time getting anything going off the rush. We need to see more out of the likes of Josh Bailey, Anders Lee and Brock Nelson, who should be counted on for more.

The Islanders will have a tough matchup against the Flyers tonight, who hold a 5-2-1 record. Hopefully we see a better team effort tonight to turn things around.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
