Hockey Buzz presents: You propose and ultimately vote on the Rangers trades (rangers)

With a nine-day break – almost an eternity during the regular season – between games, I was thinking about what blogs might make sense. Other sites have more than ably looked at the Brady Skjei-Adam McQuaid pairing as well as David Quinn’s system, so covering that again, even from my own perspective, seemed a bit lacking. Therefore, given the time of year we are in and cognizant that the Rangers are in the midst of a rebuild coupled with focus on February 25, the trade deadline and what New York might or should do became paramount. As such, the next set of blogs will be about the Blueshirts and the trade deadline, with a few caveats thrown in.

These blogs will be audience participation, both in the comments and in the voting, so here are the parameters: - Each day I will post which player will be discussed. My plan is to limit this somewhat, meaning unless there is a major push, someone like Henrik Lundqvist or Mika Zibanejad isn’t getting proposed for trading. I think we all know who is probable/possible to be moved. - In the comment section, propose your best deal for that player. But not so fast, that best deal includes: team acquiring, who that team is giving up and most important, the rationale for that deal, which consists of why New York would accept that package and why the trading team would trade that package. Therefore, no one-sided or lopsided deals, the trade has to make sense for both parties. - I will select the top 5-7 deals and post in Pollcode or one of the other polling sites, enabling voting. The highest voting % wins and I will limit the vote to only allow one selection per vote.

I believe this should cover the next 3-4 days at a minimum, maybe more. But remember, one player per day. Voting will be the next day when next player is proposed. Results to be announced the following day.

First up is Kevin Hayes. This one should be no shock given all the conversation this year and especially the past few weeks. Provide your best deals in the comments section.
