Hayton Gets a Chance, Runs with It (Coyotes)

The Coyotes didn't play their best game last night.

New Jersey had 56% possession, 60% of the shots, and a frightening 70% of the scoring chances.

No matter, your Auntie Raanta was in the house to even things out.

But all that doesn't really matter, everyone watching the game was there for one reason: to get a look at Jack Hughes.

If you don't have NHL Centre Ice, and your team hasn't played the Devils yet, you might now be aware of how awesome this kid is, because he hasn't ut up a lot of points yet, so he's not being talked about like he should be.

But he is insane.

Did you see that goal?

Hughes sniped what should be up for Goal of the Year with a shot that would make Auston Matthews shave off his pervstache in jealously and anger. It was a goal so nice that the Raanta should have gone of to shake his hand after.

Final score was Coyotes 5 Jack Hughes 3.

Great game to watch, not so great for the Coyotes not named Raanta.

Two points for Nick Schmaltz who is frankly the most underrated player in the league right now.

First goal of the year - of course into an empty net - for Keller.

But best of all? Barrett Hayton was allowed to play, and he scored a goal. Why is this guy not a fixture in the lineup?

Don't ask me, ask the coach.

What I LOVED though was not just that Hayton played, but that the coach smartly played him with guys who can help him succeed. A line of Connor Garland, Nick Schmaltz and Barrett Hayton is an awesome thing to behold.

Not the best game, but fun a fun one.
