What has happened to our culture. I am all for education and human rights, but terms used to get under the skin of opponents have been going on as long as competitive sports have been played.
It is as much a part of the game as the game itself.
I am sure I will get my share of abuse for taking this stand, but political correctness is not my style and never will be.
We should absolutely accept people for who they are and respect different points of views and beliefs as others should do for ours.
But we as a society have become so weak, that we let words and insults offend us.
That is not reality at all. The world is full of strong people and weak people, good people and bad. But to characterize what is said on the field of play as anything but a mind game is ridiculous.
The most successful people in life learn how to deal with others, even if the going gets tough. They don't cry foul if they are offended along the way, that's called life.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but this stuff makes me mad.
