Bust Out The Guinness its Hawks vs Sharks (blackhawks)

Game Day The Hawks wrap up their home stand with a battle against the last-place San Jose Sharks. Two points separate these teams for the best odds to win the draft lottery and draft Macklin Celebrini. The last time these two teams met, the Hawks pulled out a 2-1 victory in the shootout. It was a game that no one seemed to want to win, and you have to imagine we are going to see more of the same tonight. The Sharks were big sellers at this year's deadline, and it has translated to exactly what you would expect. Over their last 10 games, they have a 1-7-2 record and are currently on a 3-game losing streak, with their latest loss coming last night at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets. It's a good thing today is St. Patrick’s Day and the beer will be flowing because this one could be ugly.

Projected Line Up

The Hawks have recalled forward Lukas Reichel from Rockford, and he’s expected to be in the lineup tonight. In nine games with the Ice Hogs, he registered 7 points (1-6). When speaking with reports on Saturday, he talked about feeling pissed off about the demotion but then seeing it as an opportunity to turn this around. Im not sure how I feel about him already getting called back up, but they are giving him the best chance to succeed by pairing him back with Athanasiou. Last season, the pair showed great chemistry together, and then wrapping up the line is Nick Foligno, who will hopefully have the same effect on Reichel as he has had on Bedard.

That’s going to be it from me, puck drop is set for 5pm central time. Happy St Patricks Day and as always, Lets Go Hawks.
