Blues fumble away a ROW vs, put themselves in a tough spot to pass the Jets (st. louis blues)

On Monday night, the Blues blew yet another two goal lead, worse yet another third period two goal lead. While the Blues did salvage the win, they lost a very important ROW, putting them at least two ROWs behind Winnipeg and letting Nashville tie them with their victory tonight and almost ensuring the Blues lose any tie breaker with Winnipeg.

The Blues opened the scoring a little over seven minutes into the 1st period on a beautiful passing play between Oskar Sundqvist and Jaden Schwartz.

The Avalanche dominated the 2nd period, outshooting the Blues 10-3 but Jordan Binnington kept the Avalanche off the board.

Vladimir Tarasenko doubled the lead just 14 seconds into the 3rd period.

The confusion and poor positioning of the Blues allowed Alexander Kerfoot to drive the net and score a brilliant deflection goal.

I’ll be back later today with a preview of tonight’s big game in Chicago against the recently eliminated Blackhawks.

NHL Champions for Charity We’ve gotten some traction on the charity wager among the Central Division bloggers. One charity I’ll highlight is Paws in Motion which is run by the Winnipeg Humane Society https://www.whspawsinmotion.ca/from your Jet’s Blogger Peter Tessier. Paws in Motion works and walks toward a future where no dogs, cats, or critters need to suffer from hunger, homelessness, or neglect. They believe all animals deserve to live happy and healthy lives with loving families.

It’s a great day for hockey.
