San Jose Sharks prospect Thomas Bordeleau is off to a great start with the University of Michigan.
Bordeleau was selected by the Sharks with the 38th overall pick in this year’s NHL draft. He’s currently in his first year in the NCAA and in his first four games of the year, the forward has two goals and seven points.
It’s obviously a very small sample size but so far, Bordeleau is already tied for the team lead in points. This puts him above 2019 30th overall pick John Beecher and the 29th overall pick in this year’s draft, Brendan Brisson. Bordeleau has a point in every game so far and has also managed to get a point on seven of his team’s 18 goals so far this season.

At just 5-foot-9, he may be small but his skill certainly makes up for that. He’s a strong skater, is agile and has great hands (as you probably noticed if you watched the clip above) and is overall quite a well-rounded player.
Bordeleau is going to be a very fun player to watch in the coming years and is certainly one of San Jose’s top prospects. He’s likely still a few years away from competing for a spot on the Sharks roster but his hot start in the NCAA is a step in the right direction.
