The San Jose Sharks have loaned forward Lean Bergmann to Adler Mannheim of the DEL.

Bergmann is just 22 years old and spent the majority of the 2019-20 season with the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda, scoring eight goals and 17 points in 31 games. However, he also played 12 games with the Sharks, where he had one assist.

This will be Bergmann’s second run in the DEL, after spending the 2018-19 season in Germany. It will be interesting to see if he’ll be able to boost his production two years later.

Last week, the Sharks also loaned Joachim Blichfeld, Artemi Kniazev and Alexander True to European teams. Blichfeld and True will both be playing in Denmark, while Kniazev is playing in Russia.
