Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. Here are the poll results from this week, along with my thoughts on how they turned out.

QUESTION: How do you feel about Mike Amadio’s first full NHL season?

(Votes: 93)

Don’t feel strongly either way: 55%
Happy with how it went: 26%
Not happy with how it went: 16%
Very happy with how it went

I was a bit surprised to see the majority saying they weren’t necessarily happy with how it went. I like Amadio and he’s a solid fit in the bottom-six but having said that, I suppose he didn’t produce at the levels some may have expected him to.

QUESTION: How many points do you expect from Dustin Brown next season?

(Votes: 132)

40-50 points: 56%
Less than 40 points: 40%
More than 50 points: 4%

Brown will remain a top-six forward for the Kings and I’m with the 33 per cent who said he’ll be scoring between 40 and 50 points next season. He’s playing in a larger role than he should be but he’s still one of Los Angeles’ most productive forwards.

QUESTION: How many points do you expect from Jeff Carter next season?

(Votes: 140)

30-40 points: 41%
40-50 points: 33%
Less than 30 points: 16%
More than 50 points: 9%

Carter is certainly on a downward trend but like Brown, due to the Kings’ lack of depth up front, he’ll be in a fairly large role again next season. As mentioned in the article, I’m expecting him to score at a similar pace next season and finish with around 30-40 points.

QUESTION: How many points do you expect from Drew Doughty next season?

(Votes: 113)

40-50 points: 45%
More than 50 points: 30%
Less than 40 points: 25%

Doughty may be aging but he’s still able to score more points per season than most forwards on the Kings. I mentioned that I’d like to see him take on a bit of a smaller role next season but I’d still imagine he’s scoring around 40-50 points.
