The Oilers can score with anyone in the league — McDavid and Draisaitl continue to put up numbers,,,but when the games tighten, the story always circles back to the crease. Stuart Skinner has shown flashes of brilliance, but inconsistency and shaky starts have put the team on edge at times…
Sources around the league are basically all in agreement…the Oilers’ front office can’t afford another “wait and see” year when it comes stopping pucks consistently

Multiple league sources suggest the Oilers are among the teams keeping tabs on Saros, Juuse is consistent and experienced and only $5.5M over the next two seasons. He’s often masked defensive lapses on a Predators team that’s been retooling on the fly. Since taking over for Pekka Rinne, Saros has regularly posted top-tier numbers…
What It Might Take
Make no mistake…. Talking to people around the league the price is gonna be higher than you think it's gonna be a first round draft pick, a good young player….and likely a roster player to balance money.
