OTT @ STL : It's Only A Game (Blues)

Brian Elliott and the St. Louis Blues host the Ottawa Senators tonight at the Scottrade Center for a rematch after the Blues beat the Senators just four days ago.

The Blues will look to gain ground in the central division with a win, but how important is this game?

The answer? Not that important. We are all very lucky we get to watch this amazing sport and cheer for your favorite team, but let's remember, this is just a game. With the protests caused by the decision not to indict the officer who killed Michael Brown, how important is this game? To put people in harm's way, to play a game?

Yesterday, I had to have a cortisone shot in my wrist due to tendinitis. Then the transmission in my truck blew. Then I started feeling sick, and all I could think of is how I was still alive, and should feel sorry for myself.

If you are choosing to head down to the Scottrade tonight, be safe, be cautious, and be smart. Let's hope the game goes off without any issues, and that you all can enjoy cheering on whatever team you're cheering for. Just remember, life is far more important than a hockey game.

Be safe.
