The St. Louis Blues have signed former 3rd round pick from 2008, Jori Lehtera, to a two year contract. This signing is going to make Vladimir Tarasenko VERY happy.
Lehtera and Tarasenko were linemates for two seasons in Sibir Novosibirsk of the KHL a few years ago, and these two are fantastic friends. The two could very well end up on a line together again in the NHL as well.
Lehtera is a top six center, with fantastic playmaking skill. Not to mention he's got fantastic chemistry with Tarasenko in the past. He's a pass first player and he's aggressive in his style of play. He's not afraid of going into the traffic areas and he's not inept in his own zone.
