Blues Lose Oshie and Lose To The Wild (Blues)

The St. Louis Blues lost to a 30 year old goaltender, who had a total of five games of NHL experience, who gave up seven goals in his last American Hockey League game. They put 45 shots on goal, and scored on two of them. They had rebounds, odd man rushes, and one-on-one chances. They beat John Curry twice.

There is no question that the Blues offensive woes have cost this team lately, but tonight was a must win game. You're now trailing the Ducks and the Avalanche are a win away from passing you in the standings. If the Avalanche win the central, the Blues play the Hawks in the first round. Want to guess how well your defensive woes and your lack of scoring will do against the defending champs?

The Blues lost T.J. Oshie to an absolutely disgusting hit from Wild goon, Mike Rupp. Rupp picked the head of Oshie, making it the principle point of contact. It's easily a suspendable hit, and there is no doubt that he should be suspended.

Ryan Miller was left out to dry by the Blues defense, and really didn't have a chance on any of the goals against. However, with how the team is playing, he should have been pulled earlier than he was.

The Blues are back at it tomorrow against the Dallas Stars. Maybe they can turn it around, but there is absolutely no question they are floundering right now.
