David Backes, coming off the NHL 1st star of the week, added two more points tonight.

The Blues keep rolling, beating the Edmonton Oilers by a score of 4-2. Vladimir Tarasenko, David Backes, Jaden Schwartz, and Alexander Steen all scored for Benoit Pouliot scored both goals for the Oilers, who have dropped three of their last four games.

The Blues however, have now won five games in a row, for the third time this season. They've beaten the San Jose Sharks twice, the Arizona Coyotes once, the Carolina Hurricanes, and now the Edmonton Oilers. They play the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday and then the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, as they look to build on their five game winning streak.

The Blues were solid tonight, holding the Oilers to only 15 shots on goal, while pilling on 29 shots of their own.

If it wasn't for Ben Scrivens, the Blues could easily led by another two or three goals.

Barret Jackman registered two assists tonight, making him the eighth Blues defensemen to reach 150 career assists with the Blues. The other seven? Al MacInnis, Chris Pronger, Rob Ramage, Jeff Brown, Barclay Plager, Alex Pietrangelo, John Brownschidle, and now Barret Jackman.

David Backes, the NHL's first star of the week with the Blues, scored another goal and added an assist tonight as well.

Alexander Steen registered his 400th career point as he scored his 169th career goal tonight.

Ken Hitchcock registered his 684th career victory, tying the late Pat Quinn for fifth all time in NHL history.

It was a milestone night for the Blues, with Jackman, Steen, and Hitchcock all hitting milestones. So who hits the next one? Here are the upcoming milestones for the St. Louis Blues.

Carl Gunnarsson is eight points away for 100 in his NHL career.

Jaden Schwartz is just one goal away from his 50th career goal.

Jay Bouwmeester is just 20 games away from 900 in his career.

Kevin Shattenkirk is just nine points away from 200 in his career.

Alex Pietrangelo is three points away from 200 with the Blues.

Paul Stastny is 18 points away from 500 in his career.

I'd guess that Schwartz hits his milestone before anyone else, but it's possible to see Pietrangelo get his first as well.

Question of the game, will the Blues defeat Detroit on Thursday, or will the Wings stop the Blues win streak?
