* Marc-Andre Fleury and Jake Oettinger dueled in a goaltending battle blanking each others' teams with 29 and 34 saves respectively; Jacob Peterson was the difference maker in the 6th round of the shootout.
* In his second cup of coffee this season, Lukas Reichel didn't get a lot of puck touches -- and got rid of it right away when he had them -- so he really wasn't much of a factor yet wasn't a liability either.
* Making his season debut after getting into 3 games last season, Alec Regula exhibited smooth skating and exerted effort to battle in the crease and maintain gaps even if he got beat a few times.
