The most noteworthy news from Day 13 of Blackhawks training camp was Caleb Jones still being out with wrist soreness. If he's out for a while, expect Ian Mitchell to make the team as Jakub Galvas has all but locked up his spot with Wyatt Kalynuk already out with an ankle injury.

Blackhawks: Game Summary

Starting Lineup

Borgstrom - K Dach - Hagel Gaudette - Strome - C Dach Barratt - R Johnson - Osipov Entwistle - Khaira - Hardman

McCabe - Murphy Stillman - Galvas de Haan - Mitchell

Lankinen Subban

Scoring Recap

1st Goal: Eriksson Ek (0-1) PP

Joel Eriksson Ek had an easy tap in for the Wild on the power play as Mats Zuccarello shanked his shot to create enough of a change-up to throw off Kevin Lankinen. It didn't help that Connor Murphy played too high in the slot rather than cover Eriksson Ek who was down low.

2nd Goal: Strome (1-1) PP

What's to like about this play is not only did Dylan Strome win the faceoff but he also drove straight to the net and planted his stick blade to the ice to redirect a perfectly placed pass from Kirby Dach. Galvas also showed off his swift and accurate passing.

3rd Goal: Goligoski (1-2)

Defensive coverage on this goal was confusing. Adam Gaudette and Murphy do an odd interchange above the circles where the defenseman stayed high and the winger went low. Why was Murphy up so high? And after directing traffic, why didn't Gaudette follow the eventual goal scorer?

4th Goal: Hagel (2-2) PS

After getting tripped while on a breakaway, Brandon Hagel earned a penalty shot where he faked out Wild goalie Cam Talbot with a stutter step and sleek stickhandling to get him committed to the right which let him bang home the equalizer on the wide open left side.

5th Goal: Dumba (2-3) OT

The Chicago defense played too passively allowing the Wild to waltz into their offensive zone with little to no pressure which gave Kevin Fiala an open lane to find Matt Dumba who in turn had an uncontested shot from the top of the circles that he wired past Lankinen.

IceHogs D Depth

LeGuerrier is an above average skater whose likely role is as a defensive defenseman in the 5/6/7 spot. He uses his plus skating and size to manage gaps and neutralize plays. While he's capable of contributing to the transition game, don't expect much offense.
