Two Los Angeles Kings prospects were competing for spots on Sweden’s final roster for the 2021 World Junior Championship, however, only one player made it through the final cut.

Tobias Bjornfot was named as one of Sweden’s eight defenders and will be a returning player for the team, having played at last year’s tournament. Helge Grans, however, was the last player cut from the team.

Bjornfot joins Quinton Byfield, Brock Faber, Arthur Kaliyev, Lukas Parik, Kasper Simontaival, Jordan Spence and Alex Turcotte as Kings prospects who will be playing at the tournament, while Martin Chromiak is also still with Team Slovakia, who have yet to finalize their roster.
