Even though Jake Allen is once again sidelined, Carey Price will not be making his return to action tonight against Winnipeg. This morning at practice, he was doing solo work on the second sheet of ice while the rest of the team practiced on the main rink. Martin St-Louis couldn’t confirm if Allen’s injury was the same that kept him out of action for 8 weeks or how long he would be sidelined. Samuel Montembeault will be in net tonight while Cayden Primeau will serve as back-up.

Meanwhile, Paul Byron, Jesse Ylonen and Ryan Poehling will back back in tonight and Dauphin and Pezzetta will be sitting this one out, just like Clague, Wideman and Lagesson according to the reports from Brossard this morning. As for Barron, he appears to still be day-to-day with his lower body injury. It’s a shame because watching him play brought yet another level of excitement for Canadiens’ fans, but for now, it seems they’ll have to make do with Jordan Harris, who’s played pretty-well it has to be said.

Some of you might have seen a picture of Nick Suzuki giving his stick to a young Habs fans in Toronto before the game Saturday night. Turns out that Suzuki was making amends after trying to throw him a puck during warm-up, a puck that landed straight on the poor boy’s face. Understandably, Suzuki felt bad and went off the ice to go see if he was alright and give him his stick. Nice story up to that point, right? But turns out the kid was told by building security that the stick was like a weapon and that he would need to either give it back or leave the building. Like every Hab fan who would be confronted with that choice, he chose to keep Suzuki’s stick and leave the building without seeing the game he and his dad had paid to see. Well done Toronto staff… The Canadiens just commented on his dad's post and will apparently give him a Nick Suzuki jersey, take notes Toronto staff.
