Carey Price will be hoping his teammates lend him a hand tonight by generating at least some offense and giving him a cushion to work with. Tonight’s opponents, the Philadelphia Flyers, have lost 6 games in a row and are without goalie Carter Hart. In those last 6 games, they’ve also allowed a whooping 34 goals and one could think that this is the kind of opportunity the Canadiens needed to be able to get back on track offensively, but time will tell.
Line-up wise, Jake Evans will be back in after overcoming a virus, the newly recalled Rafael Harvey Pinard will also draw in just like Kale Clague who comes in for Harris. Clague has only played 35 games this season and has so far failed to impress really after being picked-up on waivers from the Kings. At the end of the season, he’ll be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.
Elsewhere in the league, the Coyotes grabbed a point last night in an overtime loss to the Blackhawks and are now just one point behind the Canadiens while the Kraken got an unexpected win over the Avalanche allowing them to leapfrog the Flyers in 29th place. As things currently stands, the Canadiens have approximately a 12.1% chance of picking 1st overall, 13.6% of picking 2nd, 32.2 % of picking 3rd and a 42.2% chance of picking 4th. Should they finish last, the odds then become 25.7%, 18.7 % and 55.6%. That’s clearly something worth keeping an eye on for the next week as the Canadiens and most teams in the league, including the Coyotes, will finish their season on April 29th.

Carey Price espèrera surement que ses coéquipiers lui donne un coup de main ce soir et génère un peu d’offensive question de lui donner un coussin avec lequel travailler. Les adversaires de ce soir, les Flyers de Philadelphie ont perdu leur 6 derniers match et ne peuvent pas compter sur Carter Hart, présentement blessé. Au cours de ces 6 matchs, Philadelphie a accordé un total de 34 buts et on pourrait penser qu’il s’agit là d’une occasion en or pour le CH de se remettre sur les rails offensivement parlant, mais le temps nous le dira.
Côté alignement, Jake Evans maintenant guéri d’un virus sera de retour, le récemment rappelé Rafael Harvey-Pinard intégrera également la formation tout comme Kale Clague qui prendra la place de Jordan Harris.
