Ryan Getzlaf played his final NHL game last night, with the Anaheim Ducks falling 6-3 to the St. Louis Blues at home.
Getzlaf spent his entire career with the Ducks, playing 1157 games and scoring 282 goals and 1019 points. He’s been captain of the Ducks since 2010 and won a Stanley Cup with the team in 2007.
Anaheim did have a 2-0 lead after the first period but were outplayed through most of the game, managing just 17 shots. The Blues scored six unanswered goals between the second period and first half of the third period to secure a win, but not before Getzlaf picked up a final assist with under three minutes to go in the game.
