The last full week of “summer… is here… with Labor Day weekend looming, let’s take a look at some random end of summer notes.
- Be on the lookout for an exciting announcement from SlapShot Radio and Best Buddies… coming soon.
- Rookie camp gets going on Thursday 9/6. The rookie camp roster is available on the Preds website. The roster includes prospect camp standout Zach Magwood.
- That Thursday session is the only rookie session on ice in Nashville… the rest of the camp will be in Florida.
- The rookies will participate in a prospects showcase at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals.
- Predators training camp opens on Thursday September 13 with first day on ice on Friday 9/14.
- Predators preseason game tickets are on sale now… they are extremely limited.
- The ice is being installed this week as the arena finishes work on upgrades on the new control room, ribbon boards and facia.
- The Stars and Stripes Showdown happened over the weekend to honor the late Jim Johansson. The influential figure in USA Hockey was revered and much loved as the weekend’s events showed. We interviewed the legend on SlapShot Radio about few weeks before his untimely passing… here is that interview…
- The Predators are offering 100 $15 day of game tickets again this season, TwiceDaily remains the sponsor of this popular promotion.
