The Russian free agents are storming the NHL, mainly because of pay-cuts that the players will get if they decide to sign in the KHL due to the salary cap introduction in the Russian league starting next season.
On Monday Mikhail Grigorenko's agent Dan Milstein announced that Grigorenko has signed a one-year deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It’s official: Mikhail Grigorenko is coming back to the NHL. Signed 1 year contract for 2020-2021 NHL season with Columbus Blue Jackets. #WeAreGoldStar! #CBJ pic.twitter.com/3xT6MhmUM3

Although Columbus or his agent didn't reveal players salary, Hockeybuzz has learned that he will make 1,200,000$ on his one-year deal.
Grigorenko was originally drafted back in 2012, #12 overall by the Buffalo Sabres but after failing to find himself as a full-time player on already ''ungood'' Sabres squad he moved on to play two seasons for the Colorado Avalanche. After that he left for Russia, won a Gagarin Cup, became Olympic Champion and developed further to finally make that one last attempt to become an actual NHL player.
By many Grigorenko was ranked as #1 European Unrestricted Free Agent that could be returning to North America.
