Knight Errantry (chicago)

Next Game @ Golden Knights

Look for the Hawks to go back to the standard 12F/6D lineup format after Nicolas Beaudin played a mere 1 minute and 11 seconds on Thursday against the Coyotes. Riley Stillman did start that game at wing which isn't a foreign position for him as he had substantial forward experience prior to being drafted in 2016.

Game Notes

* Collin Delia earned the shutout on 30 saves and with superb structure and composure between the pipes as he was efficient in his puck tracking and crease movements.

* Lukas Reichel clearly had a big night offensively with 2 goals and 2 assists; his game was powered by vision, speed, shiftiness, and constant pursuit of the puck.

* Michal Teply had his best game of the season not only with his first goal and 7 SOGs but also excellent board work being strong on the puck and protected it once in possession.

* Evan Barratt may not be a prototypical assist machine but he's an adept puck distributor; he also runs his mouth a lot as opponents want to demolish him even with no physical provocation.

* Jakub Pour and Cam Morrison -- who scored his first as a pro -- each notched a goal which hopefully jump starts them as they've both been inconsequential wingers all season.

* Alec Regula can make some pretty lazy outlet feeds and loves the stretch pass; he needs to use his feet more to exit the zone with the puck.

* It's just the minor leagues but the decision to keep dressing a one-trick pony in Dmitri Osipov over more skilled and promising prospects like Carson Gicewicz is mind boggling.
