Statistically, Golyshev is somewhat comparable to Ilya Mikheyev on the Toronto Maple Leafs, with their stats from the KHL compared below:
KHL season at 23 years old: Golyshev: 0.35 G/GP, 0.74 P/GP KHL season at 23 years old: Mikheyev: 0.35 G/GP, 0.70 P/GP
KHL season at 24 years old: Golyshev: 0.29 G/GP, 0.66 P/GP KHL season at 24 years old: Mikheyev: 0.37 G/GP, 0.73 P/GP
We can likely expect Golyshev to factor in as a potential third-line winger for the team in the coming years, though it remains to be seen as to what the immediate plan is for him. Regardless, him signing is certainly a win for the Islanders.
Golyshev will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
