The Anaheim Ducks have loaned defenseman Jacob Larsson to Kristianstads IK of the HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden’s second-highest professional league.

Larsson is 23 years old and played 60 games with the Ducks in the 2019-20 season, registering two goals and 11 points in that time. He recently signed a two-year extension with the Ducks that carries a $1.2 million AAV and Larsson is expected to compete for ice time on Anaheim’s bottom pairing next season.
It’s interesting to note that Larsson will be playing in a lower league in Sweden than he did in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, when he played in the SHL. He’ll likely return to North America for the start of training camp.
