As the offseason drags on and all that can be found in way of televised sports are the never-ending baseball games, hockey fans may suffer from puck withdrawal. To help you cope with the long summer months, a new game has taken the Internet by storm: Puckdoku!
Sounds a bit familiar? That’s because it’s played in a grid much like Sudoku but instead of numbers, you’ve got to place the right player in the right spot. In a nutshell, you’ve got 9 attempts (shots) to fill the grid with the information required. More often than not, you’ll have 3 teams across and 3 teams down and you’ll have to fill in the squares with the name of a player who played for both teams.
Sometimes, you’ll get a stat category instead, for instance today, there’s the “40+ goals in a single season… category. If you’re a hockey fan and not just a Habs fan, I highly recommend this game, but be ready to dig deep in your memory for some answers!
Believe me though, when you see a Habs logo, you’ll be glad as it will make things a bit easier for you.

To make things even more fan, the game rates the uniqueness of your answers, so say it asks you to name a player who scored 40+ goals in a single season for the Stars, you could answer Mike Modano, but 36% of people gave that answer which means you’ll be hurting your uniqueness rating. However, if you were to put Brian Bellow, as I did, only 0.8% of people gave that answer, meaning that your uniqueness score will be better.
