Happy New Year!
Thank you to everyone who reads the Blackhawks blog here at HockeyBuzz. Much genuine gratitude for your readership to follow your favorite team and all their monkey shines. There's lots to love and also lots to critique but that's what fandom is all about.
May 2022 be healthy for the Blackhawks, for the IceHogs, for you, and for those you care about. Good health as well to those who may not be in your good graces. We all can't agree on everything but we can at least wish good will and cheer upon one another.
Peace.

The slate of games in calendar year 2022 and the offseason will be a useful gauge to see where the Hawks are at not just with the ability to compete now and the near future with the current player personnel and viable prospects but also with a clearer organizational direction.

Roster Updates
Kevin Lankinen
MEDICAL UPDATE: Goaltender Kevin Lankinen will not participate in practice today (COVID-19 Protocol).

Delia is the projected starter today but is he in net tomorrow, too? On the one hand, he has seniority and could be the de facto starter until Fleury and/or Lankinen returns. However, management has prioritized Soderblom as the 1st string in Rockford so he could get some reps.
Cale Morris
Happy last day of 2021 to everyone but especially to Cale Morris pic.twitter.com/A8IsQkm4XB

The Hawks play on Thursday the 6th in Glendale, Arizona to face the Coyotes then both the Hawks and Hogs play on Saturday which should be fine if Fleury and Lankinen are still in COVID protocol as long as no other goalie goes down with an injury or illness (knock on wood).
