Probably the most obsessive and neurotic thing I’ve ever seen. Saving a three year old blog to post later.

With this said, comparing Couturier’s deal to Hayes’ deal, Couturier’s deal looks great…pre back injury.

Ha Ha, Tampa coach Jon Cooper in hot water over saying that the goalies should just have skirts on after two disallowed goals for goalie interference last night.

At what point to break up the group? The current group has made it past the first round 1. Do you blame the coach, the goalie, the D? How about the lack of production from players making 10 million plus?
- WhiskeyMan

Signing Tavares when they already had Marner and Matthews was the stupid move. It was more of a " let's bring him home" after Stamkos played with the fans emotions after liking a tweet about him signing in Toronto. Tavares should never have been signed by Toronto and threw out the pay structure and personel on the team. That was the huge mistake with Toronto, that $11m would have been split nicely between Hyman and a dman. Hyman put up 50 goals this year...more than Tavares at less than half the salary. He was not resigned by Toronto due to cap restraints. So they wouldn't have lost any offense, and would have had another $6m for a dman. Changes the whole dynamic of the team.

The one replay I saw I could not believe they called goalie interference. Then confirmed it after it was challenged. Almost zero actual contact. Did not affect the goalie in anyway just was in the crease before the shot.

Watched the game, and didn't think either goal should have been called back.

This would be awesome but I am not holding my breath. Flyers are not allowed to have nice things.

Saving?

There's this thing called google, and I just searched "hockeybuzz flyers sign couturier" and looked at the first three pages to refresh my memory of what people thought at the time. And the majority opinion was that Couturier gave the Flyers a hometown discount on AAV, partly in exchange for max term.

They've been connected at the hip since forever and the benefit has been mutual.

Both of them process the game at such a ridiculously high level that they unlock potential that likely wouldn't be possible playing with anybody else.

And Point covers up for Kuch w/o the puck.

- Tomahawk

What I am trying to say is that Point has been a <1 ppg player except for the past 2 seasons and 2018-19. Those are the exact 3 seasons Kucherov has gone from being a 1.25 ppg player (or less) to being a 1.5 ppg. So, I am saying the boost is due to a Kucherov effect and if he played with more mortal linemates, he would be ..say ...a 1 ppg player: very good but not "stratospheric."

By rule they could call that for sure. I think if they do not call goalie interference live no way the Panthers challenge it.

The comment I made was that you were constantly trying to convince others that you are intellectually superior and a scholar. Even to the point of flat out anointing yourself as a scholar and an educator and other shameful plugs. Not about confrontation. As the other poster has said, really smart people don't have to tell others that they are such.

Luckily for me there is a public record which says otherwise.

1. No, you said my entire existence on this site was playing out a superiority complex. I pointed out I was a placid, polite dormouse for 75% of that existence.

2. The poster who said almost exactly this was Mickel25, way back, n the summer of 2020. Has your mental issues now reached a state where you are having trouble distinguishing past and present?

3. Yes, there is a public record of you, which if I were you, I would be terrified that your kid/s would discover some day. .

So Kucherov improved .25ppg while playing with Point? Seems like they both benefit from playing with talented players.

not surprised at all if he comes early as been saying it from day 1. Taking care of Ivan with a nice contract also was some good customer relations. Flyers should look to hire Fedorov in some capacity.

Rebuild complete when/if he comes early.

agree, I would have to see again, but when he hit the stick he took it to the left and the goal was scored right side, why I do see why they called it.
