Guess that speaks to how terrible the oilers season was two years ago. Improved by 12 points and 0 ranks in the standings

Just saying, if my head scout had Teuvo Teravainen ahead of Nail Yakupov I would be extremely concerned.

TT went at 18. Do you really think *all* those scouting departments missed something about TT that *your* extremely special scout saw? Or is it likely the 17 teams ahead were right and that maybe your scout was a bit out to lunch?

sorry to bring this back up but teravainen's nhl career is starting tonight. we'll see how it goes but if the draft were to be re-done he'd already move into the top 10 just from his pro career in finland alone.

and yakupov going first overall probably doesn't seem like such a sure bet anymore.

and to re-answer your question, yeah i think all those other scouting departments missed something that our special scout saw.

if he weren't 5'6 or whatever he is, he'd have been a top 5 at the draft. Skill has always been there and he was highly touted. People seem to think it's better to draft Gaustad than P. Kane.

I swear I remember him being passed over for being too small. I thought he maid DD look big. Clearly listed at 5'11...

Habs tried hard to trade for a second first rounder but no one would
