If it was my team I would play the best goalie. Clearly this is Schneider. If Luongo fails in the playoffs and Cory takes over. You can bet the Canucks will re sign Schneider long term and Luongo will ask for a trade.

Pretty much sums up what could happen.
Lou has played great and should start the playoffs but he's got a short leash.

Its sure nice to have a 1-2 punch

.... that was one of your worst chirps. Kessel had yet another 30 goal season .

there are SOO many ways to attack the leafs, komisarek, lombardi, our terrible penalty kill, goaltending.... and you go with one of the bright spots

your loosing your touch. have fun being swept

At least we can get swept. You losers haven't made the playoffs in 7 years. Not to mention I highly doubt you make it next year.

What is better? Top 5 pick or losing in the first round?

What's better? Winning the presidents trophy or 5 years of bottom dwelling and sucking to hopefully one day form a respectable playoff team

Well, both have the same out come. No cup! By winning the presidents trophy and being down 3 games against the 8 place team is far from being a respectable playoff team.

for your future the pick
I think loosing in the first round is good for some teams and a death sentence for others

look at chicago, la,pens in the past they lost in the first round with a young team and gained much needed experience

a team like the canucks it could mean house cleaning which may be a blessing in disguise

For the fans its not at all the same out come, sucking during the regular season with little hope of improving next year is far worse than winning the presidents trophy and getting to watch entertaining hockey all season...

Ya cause the core of the Canucks is SO old, I mean Kesler, he's a dinosaur, Booth, yet another dinosaur, Sedins? Oh ya dinosaurs at age 31...Luongo 33...dinosaur...no wait....none of those guys are old at all...but in their prime... Until Kesler and the Sedins slow down in production (which they havent) the Canucks will do just fine...I mean having youth hasnt worked for the Leafs and it simply won't at the rate they're going...

A top 5 pick without a doubt. However, when you enter the playoffs you have just a good of chance is every other team more or less. With that logic, every team should just try and lose if they don't have a shot at winning cup. Basically if players had that type of attitude whats the point in playing half the games. I think professionalism is a must. By that i mean that no matter what team you are on or position you are in you play your hardest. Try and win every game no matter what, or else it takes the absolute core out of sport in general.

~27 is typically a players prime. It varies from player to play though.

Btw Kesler dropped from a 70+ point player the last two seasons to a 49 point player this year. Both Sedins also had their first sub point per game seasons since 07-08. Someone could spin that as a decline fairly easily if they wanted to.

Just correcting a few things, that's all. Carry on.. lol. The Canucks should be a very good team for at least a few more years but age will catch up to them eventually I imagine.

im not arguing whos what age, whos in their prime who isnt

im talking about a leadership group that could be seriously broken. Ive heard multiple so called hockey experts say the same thing that it may be time for a shake up ( not rebuild) if they loose again, especially if they are swept

"and your saying phaneuf blah blah i have no real rebuttle so ill make fun of your team" changing the topic would just prove me right.

IMO the canucks window is over. They will still have a good team for many years, but its over. Unless they make a drastic change to their lineup.
