It has the potential to be an absolute blockbuster....

Miller
Stafford
Leopold
Brennan

for

Kane
Crawford
Frolik
Leddy

Roughly works out salary wise. Blackhawks can take on a poop ton of salary at the deadline per capgeek

By blockbuster you mean "potential to alter the course of both franchises for the foreseeable future", correct? This would rock the NHL, not to mention both teams and fanbases involved.

I think you guys are stuck with his 57 year contract for awhile. I bet they go after Nabokov.

To many soft goals, losing his crease and bad goals at the wrong time. Emery has been no better statistically.

Hawk D has been awful and forwards don't get back and have been blue line and neutral zone turnover machine.

31 goals allowed during this 7 game losing streak; almost 5/gm! 168 goals allowed; 2nd worst in the conf in front of the bluejackets.

It goes on and on....a complete team collapse not just the goal tending!!

The teams are ideal trade partners, no?

Niemi won a cup and was not the number one. San jose is stacked and no goalie wins therebas long as jumbo is there. There is nothing going on so ek is making it up. Crawford is not the problem. The defense is terrible and they have too much money in too few guys. Need to trade kane or hossa for at least two roster players. Losing ladd, buff, brow, campbell, etc, is a hit nobteam could take. They would be idiots to use up cap on a goalie. At the end of the day their goalie wont matter.

Yep and a true win win for both teams. It would be wild to see something like this done in today's game.

If that goalie costs them next to nothing in cap space and gives them another solid option, why not?

But who is that goalie? The isles do not need more prospects and the hawks cannot give up a roster guy.

Does anyone think this could be a ploy to publically announce they want a goalie to put pressure on Boston to move one??

How does them announcing they need a goalie put pressure on Boston? Wouldn't that put pressure on the Hawks, if anything?

Boston needs very little. Thomas will retire a Bruin likely after next season, and Rask will officially take over. Goaltending situation in Boston is set roughly for the next decade.

They very well might, they've been scouting him for the past 2-3 weeks now...a hawks scout has been at their last 9 games
