The top pick is every vegatarian's nightmare. It is a creation I have dubbed "MEATZILLA" and is a meatloaf made with bison and ground beef, some onions, garlic, red peppers and cayenne pepper. The middle photo is cooked MEATZILLA slathered in Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce with some Stove Top stuffing and a perfectly pair Maudite from unibroue.

Meatzilla is not for everyone and I understand completely.

Meatloaf is very popular in PA since a lot of Germanic people settled there. I believe every family in PA has a recipe for meatloaf in some form. It is one of those dishes I remember my mom making as a young desi and I just altered her recipe and Alton Brown's recipe for a creation of my own. I enjoy it very much.

I take no offense, but urge you to try some if you ever find yourself in the central PA area at a mom and pop type diner.

i try not to think about it.

i love a nice beef (frank). i tell myself they are safer and not so full of random animal parts.

also:
Are hot dogs really made from pigs' snouts and unused meat scraps? Contrary to popular belief, hot dogs are not made from left-over meat laying around on the floors of meat-packing houses. Whether it is pork or beef that is stuffed into a hot dog, the meat trimmings are carefully selected just like the meat you buy in your grocer's coolers.
