i actually want that game. i was hoping it'd be on sale since steam is having its summer sale thing but i guess it came out too recently so it's still full price. might make a new park in roller coaster tycoon or something instead. those games are so good.

they just came out with a free update that includes a bunch of dinosaurs from the new movie and a crapload of bug fixes, changes.

it's not perfect, but it seems like they are committed to fixing problems

the only thing i don't like from what i've read is that there aren't customer personalities like in roller coaster tycoon. there'd be people that liked calm rides, people that liked exciting rides, people that would get sick easily, etc etc. it made it so you had to really diversify to make sure everyone was happy.

unless the steam reviews are wrong (wouldn't doubt it) all the customers seem to have the same personality? that's not enough to make me not want to play but it's enough to make me want to buy it on sale instead of full price.

It just looks like you're trying really hard to hate it. It's boring at this point. I would've stopped playing a week ago if I was hating it like you apparently are.

Connor is fun though and I want to see that to the end.

The rest of it is bad.

If Markus' story wasn't so bad I wouldn't be so negative.

Its legitimately the worst. Look at crims, then this story. The same. Except the story is taller.

there are multiple ways to get marcus killed. mostly i just found his storyline to be underdeveloped and the gameplay was kind of boring. the tv station bit was fun but most of the other stuff felt like work.

i liked the kara stuff, seems to be a million ways to die with her so it was pretty intense in some scenes. her story seems to have the greatest variation.

the connor sections are obviously the best. someone should make an entire game around a cop duo like that. 90 times better investigation gameplay than LA Noire or similar

his story makes no sense. he's leading a "slave" revolution because he wants equality.

but:
- He talks about how androids are actually the superior race to humans

- He's brainwashing robots into joining his cause with magic hand. After he diddles them they all say "i'm with you Markus". This is especially bad when he raids the robot store. These robots aren't active and have no experiences to draw from. They're just blank canvases.

Marcus: you're free
Store android: I wasn't before? Who are you? Whats going on? i've been alive for literally 5 seconds. Why should I follow you? I have no experiences with humans to draw on to make a decision. Is this the script?

- Markus was never a slave. He was treated better than a human with Carl. And the reason he went deviant isn't because he was mad about slavery, its because someone he called "dad" died because of a poopbag (frank) son. Which makes his whole speech of "I WAS A SLAVE JUST LIKE ALL OF YOU AND I FOUGHT MY OPPRESSOR AND TOOK MY FREEDOM BACK". No Markus, you got robot hand raped the same way you're doing to everyone and thats why you're doing what you're doing.

- Carl loved Markus more than his own kid. He was basically hired help who was treated exceptionally well. He was taught how to express art, play chess, enjoy music. He would scold Carl for not taking his meds. There was nothing slavery about it. Alfred isn't a slave to Batman. Markus wasn't a slave to Carl.

Oh, and the news calling your "I have a dream!" graffiti an "obscure slogan" as if the American Civil Rights movement has been vaporized from memory?

Deviancy seems to be instant for an android to be "machine" to "human." Once they break that wall they seem to instantly have their sense of humanity figured out; they know who they are, what they are, what they want and how they feel.

The instant realization of self have is too jarring and it's making me appreciate the Connor sections even more than i already did because you can see this in Connor, how he starts off as being off putting in how machine-like he was, and how he develops as a person and it works so much better. He's having experiences that are forming his humanity. He isn't just being mindraped and given orders.

David Cage needs to take a look in the mirror and realize why the French cinema industry considers him such a joke while they're still willing to fund Roman Polanski films.

i can't even think of a single game that has a story that is comparable to a good polanski film lol. lower your standards my dude. even riverdale's story would be top tier if it was in a game and for a tv show it's dumb as poop (but fun).

i think they did a great job with the story given that it's a choose your adventure style story with pretty big variations in outcome. as a movie it'd be dumb as poop though and would not compare favourably to something like ex machina or blade runner 2049 or whatever.

sure, but French Cinema is like "Cage you're a joke with your matrix ham fists. We're gonna continue to fund this rapist"

1/3 of the game is awful poop trash. 1/3 is up and down whatever. 1/3 is excellent must play.
