Because with film the height of the actor is irrelevant. They can make Cruise look normal and Goldblum as well. Therefore being livid about an actors height seems like a waste of energy.

Honestly stupid was said in haste. I meant neurotic.

- TheTaoOfSemenko

why can't it be both?

but they didn't do that with Capone in BE. He was clearly shorter than everyone he was in a scene with

it made his anger come across as a Napoleon/Small Man complex.
I'd be just as livid if they cast some 6'4 dude to play the actual Napoleon

it was a dumb casting decision plain and simple

It could, but he's not stupid, just odd.

Haven't watched, but if they didn't correct his height issue during filming then you have a point I suppose.

Would you recommend? I could use a new show. I've been watching a YT anime called RWBY and Im getting worried about myself.

Crims, I know you're a Villanueva fan. I just finished Sicario. What scene/ cinematography work stands out for you.

I loved the way the "squad" silhouettes faded into the darkness

im honestly having a tougher time answering this than i expected

he's so different than guys like tarantino or the coens who really seem to focus on memorable individual scenes

I know what you mean. There were numerous shots where the landscape or the background scenery/lighting was beautiful. The ride through Juarez ending on the bridge was a great Scene

yes it's all about mood with him

all his movies are so different but so consistent to their individual aura. sure some performances stand out (like Jackman in Prisoners) but even those just seem more like byproducts of the story than anything else.

i will say that while Adams was great in Arrival, the real standout for me was his direction (mostly in that final act). So much of the emotion that hit you came from the way that was shot and edited, imo

He doesn't really have a style that instantly makes it obvious that you're watching one of his movies but yeah he is very good at finding the right tone for a movie. He hasn't made a bad movie yet. He hasn't even made an average one yet.

You should stick to my "it was good" and "it wasn't very good" reviews then. They're more on your level.

Wind River

No, it's not a secret Avengers movie, but Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner re-team for a film about solving a murder on a Native American reservation. Is there any young filmmaker enjoying a better couple of years than Taylor Sheridan? This film follows Hell or High Water and Sicario.
